He who winks with his eyes has evil things in mind. He speaks sweetly when you are present and praises you with his mouth, but he speaks differently behind your back, twisting your words. He who casts a stone on high will see it fall back down on his head. He who makes a deceitful stroke will wound himself. He who digs a pit will fall into it. He who sets a snare will catch himself. The arrogant mock and reproach, but their punishment is lying in wait for them like a lion. Those who rejoice at the fall of the godly will be caught in a snare; pain will consume them before they die.
