This is how the Lord spoke to my Lord. Sit down at my right hand, and I will make your enemies a footstool under your feet. The Lord will send out the rod of your strength out of Zion “Rule in the midst of your enemies!” Yours is the rule on the day of your power (when you appear) in holy array. Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth. You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek. The Lord is at your right hand. He will crush the kings, judge, heap up dead bodies, crush the soldiers. He will drink of the brook on the way, so he can (again) lift up his head. Hallelujah! I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation. Great are the works of God. He rules in majesty and righteousness, and has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. The Lord is gracious and merciful, and he who fears him has food and drink. The works of his hands are righteous, and his commandments are sure in truth and righteousness. He has sent redemption to his people. His covenant is eternal, and his name is holy. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. All those who live according to it have good understanding. His praise endures forever.
