The God of gods, the Lord speaks, and calls out to the earth: from sunrise to sunset. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God, shines out. Hear, my people, Israel, hear me for I am your God. I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices. I have no need for a bull from your stall, nor male goats from your pens, for every animal of the forest is mine, and the livestock on the hills, and the birds of the heavens, and the animals of the field are also mine. Would I not eat the meat of bulls, and drink the blood of goats? Offer your praise to God as a sacrifice, and pay your vows to the most high. But to the wicked, God says: “You are given to deceit, and do only evil.” Now consider this, you who forget God! Otherwise, I will tear you into pieces. Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, and whoever lives in the right way, to him I will show God's salvation.
