Si 35:16-26 - The prayer of the man without rights is heard

He helps the poor, he hears the oppressed, he does not reject the prayer of the orphan or the widow when they pour out their supplication. The tears of the widow flow down her cheeks, and cry out against those who has called them forth. The prayer of the man who serves God raises up to the heavens, and the prayer of the humble pierces them. The Lord will judge and punish righteously. He will repay men according to their deeds, and treat them according to their plans. He will bring justice to his people, and make them rejoice in his mercy. As the rain refreshes when the land has been in long drought, so pleasant is his mercy in a time of need.
