Sin not against the multitude of the city, and cast not yourself down in the crowd. Bind not up sin twice, for in one sin you will not be unpunished. Think not that you will make up for them with sacrifices. Be not faint-hearted in your prayer, nor neglect to give alms. Laugh not at the troubled, for there is one who humbles and exalts. Do not get used to lying, neither about your brother nor about your friend, for the custom thereof is not for good. Prate not in the multitude of elders, and pray with few words. Hate not laborious work or husbandry, and do not believe you are better than the sinners, for God's wrath will not wait. Humble your soul greatly, for the punishment of the ungodly man is fire and the worm.
