Nathan prophesied in the days of king David that he would be selected,
as the fat from the sacrifice is intended for God.
He played with lions and young kids. He killed Goliath with his slingshot and stone.
He called on the Lord, who was with him, taking the disgrace from the people and giving him victory. He was praised with songs of blessing.
When he received the king's crown,
he destroyed the enemies on every side, and broke the might of the Philistines.
In every deed, he gave thanks and praise to the Most High from his whole heart.
He also had singers sing before the altar.
He set in order the holidays to be celebrated and the yearly festivals (4) that the holy name
of the Lord might be praised.
The Lord forgave him his sins, raising up his might for all time
and making a covenant with him
