Si 4,18 - On the value of wisdom

Wisdom exalts her sons, and takes hold of those who seek her. He that holds her fast will inherit glory. But if he go astray, she will forsake him, and give him over to his fall. He who trusts her, he will inherit her, and his generations will have her in possession. For at first she will bring fear and dread upon him, and torment him with her discipline, until she may trust his soul, and try him by her judgments. Then she will reveal to him her secrets.
