He created me from the beginning before the world, and to the end I will not fail.
In the holy tabernacle I ministered before him, and so was I established in Zion. In the beloved city likewise he gave me rest, so that I might reign in wisdom in Jerusalem. I took root in a people that was glorified. I was exalted like a cedar in Lebanon, like a cypress tree on the mountains of Hermon, like a palm tree on the sea shore, and like rose plants in Jericho, like a fair olive tree in the plain, I gave off a scent of perfumes, like cinnamon and choice myrrh, like galbanum, and onyx, and stacte, like frankincense in the temple.
As the terebinth I stretched out my branches; they were beautiful and gracious.
