Forsake not an old friend, for you do not know how the new one will compare to him.
A new friend is like new wine: if it becomes old, you will drink it with gladness.
Envy not the glory of a sinner, for you know not what will be his overthrow.
Delight not in the delights of the ungodly.
Keep yourself far from the man that has power to kill. But if you must come to him, commit no fault lest he take away your life.
As well as you can, guess at your neighbors, and when you need advice seek the wise men from among them and let all your discourse be in God's word.
Let just men be your guests, and let your glorying be in the fear of the Lord.
