Hear, oh God, my loud complaint.
Hide me from the crowd of the wicked,
from those who do evil.
They sharpen their tongues like a sword.
They shoot their poisonous words like arrows.
They shoot innocent men from ambushes;
their heart is an abyss.
But God will shoot at them;
they will be struck down with an arrow.
Their own tongues shall ruin them.
All mankind shall fear God;
declare his works,
and ponder what he has done.
